Speaking of the chickens, we've had a good run of eggs this week. Junior laid her first last Tuesday. Though we checked every day, we didn't find another one until this Tuesday. She followed that one up with an egg on Wednesday, and then another one this morning Friday)! We think maybe the one she laid Tuesday she had been hanging onto for a few days until it got moved along the assembly line by Wednesday's egg (hence the long delay between the first and second, and the short delay between the second and third).

The eggs are all the same pale green color, but they have been getting slightly bigger each go around. We haven't eaten any yet, but are looking forward to our first home-grown omelette this weekend.

Cookie and Buffy are starting to look like real slackers. They'd better get with the program, and fast.
