* Cibo Matto - "Know Your Chicken"
Don't forget the whole collection (as of last week).
The store bought eggs we have are an average of 58 grams each.
You should also know that we're not 100% certain that Buffy is laying the speckled brown eggs and only the speckled brown eggs. For all we know, she or Cookie could be alternating between speckled and solid.
The eggs tasted ok, just like normal store-bought eggs, but the shells on Junior's eggs were super hard. I almost had to take a hammer to them.
I plan on making a big quiche this weekend...

For chickens fans, I've put the data on the web at http://home.comcast.net/~johnbomberger/chickens3/eggs.csv.
Bookmark it - it will be updated regularly! It's in CSV format so just about any speadsheet can read it.

You may think that keeping such close track of our chickens' egg production is a little odd. If so, then you probably don't want to know that for Goose's first few months of life, we kept a detailed record of every bowel movement he had (The Log Log). Don't worry, we didn't weigh them.
