So, what do you think? Should the painter of "The Singing Butler" be recognized by the Art Establishment, or is the job of the Art Establishment to only present challenges to the public? And are these paintings good, or really just schlock, on par with big eyed crying children art?

I'm not sure - it seems kind of pop art. I don't think I'd want one in my house, but his paintings are all right.

Interesting observation- "Pop art" because the paintings appear to recycle previous styles for nostalgia?

I said "pop art" because that's what first came to mind. Thinking about it more, many of his paintings seem like illustrations for pulp novel covers.
